Jon McKee Queen is an alternative energy businessman who develops emissions trading and clean energy deals in Europe and Asia. As a finance and legal specialist, Mr. Queen advises clients on a wide variety of transactional matters including trading, credit enhancement, insurance, project finance, corporate structuring and regulatory issues.

Mr. Queen has originated numerous deals from clean energy projects and energy efficiency projects in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia. Presently he serves as a Board Member of the Foundation for the Development of Environmental and Energy Markets.

Previously, Mr. Queen was a member of the Latham & Watkins Environment, Land & Resources Department, where he helped undertake the firm's climate change and greenhouse gas business development initiative. During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Queen worked on Capitol Hill for the House Banking and Financial Services Committee.

All of Jon M. Queen's projects are developed to meet a variety of standards and protocols, including:

• Kyoto Protocol's Joint Implementations Mechanism: The Kyoto Protocol is an international environmental treaty which makes a commitment to limit or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
• Clean Development Mechanism: CDM requires projects to meet rigorous qualifications and requires public registration to ensure real and measurable reduction in emissions.
• WWF's Gold Standard: This is the most widely endorsed quality standard for designing and implementing carbon offset projects. The main goal of this standard is to ensure CDM projects are reducing carbon dioxide.
• Voluntary Carbon Standard: A program initiated by The Climate Group, the International Emissions Trading Association, and the World Economic Forum to provide a comprehensive global standard to offset emissions.
